The watering hole is a large lake that never completely dries up, at least it hasn't in quite a few years. It is fed by a small underground spring which keeps water there even when the river stops flowing into it. This is a very socially active location with plenty of animals around. Cubs often come here to play and swim, and sometimes the pride will organize hunts for here as well.
